Wilderness Experience, Leadership & Service Program strives to develop outdoor leadership skills in 7th / 8th graders in Fayette County. Our vision is to provide opportunities for every 7th / 8th grader in Fayette County to experience our local outdoor recreation, develop job skills and cultivate pride in our local community.

The Fall Session runs September 14th - October 20th. Currently, we have accepted 9 local Fayette County youth into the program and 3 high school interns. We look forward to another session of adventure, leadership-building & fun!

If your 7th/8th grader would like to apply for the SPRING 2026 session, applications are DUE APRIL 1ST, 2026. Go to https://welsadventure.org to register.
